A brief overview of a few past
engagements will display JMR's ability to leverage relationships
and create value for all parties involved.
Telecommunications - JMR was engaged to provide consulting advice to a telecommunications services provider. JMR principal Jim Rossi served as chairman of the company. During this engagement JMR repositioned the company to take advantage of the Internet and focused the company on more valuable relationships. JMR resolved any outstanding business issues, changed the company name, reincorporated in Delaware for tax savings and developed a plan to improve the company's image. As a result, the company was acquired by a competitor at a premium for the company's shareholders.
Private equity - An offshore company held a majority interest in the telecommunications provider referenced above, along with other telecom companies, public and private. Based on the success of JMR's involvement with the previous situation, JMR was retained to develop strategic business plans for consideration as future business investments. These plans successfully identified channels to market that have proved to be extremely profitable businesses.
Oceanfront property - JMR leveraged local real estate contacts and its knowledge of the local vacation market to identify exceptional values in Ocean City, N.J., for exclusive oceanfront property. By moving quickly, JMR assembled a partnership, purchased several properties at below market and recognized a gain of over 200% on the sale of the properties. This is an example of JMR's ability to take advantage of market situations by leveraging established relationships for our investors.
